About
Blueberries have been long prized as a great tasting fruit packed with nutrients and health benefits. They are rich in antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and have been shown to improve heart health, boost brain function, and lower inflammation. Blueberries are also versatile and can be used in a variety of culinary applications, from fresh eating to baking, cooking, and making jams and preserves. We have three of the most popular varieties of blueberries in Florida.
Emerald
Emerald berries are medium to large with a slightly oblong shape and a deep blue color. They have a sweet, mild flavor with a hint of tartness and a firm texture. They can be used for fresh eating, baking, and making Jams and preserves.
Jewel
Jewel blueberries are large, firm, round with a sweet taste that has a slight hint of tanginess. These are good for eating fresh, baking, and freezing.
SENTINEL
Sentinel are medium to large, deep blue-purple berries with a sweet-tart flavor and firm, juicy texture. Perfect for fresh eating or culinary use.
